Here’s three more new artists you can hear on KJOL right now, along with their current singles. Plus a new take on a Vineyard classic!
After an unfulfilling career of musical theater on Broadway, Amanda Janson gave her life to the Lord in 2013. Now she is a wife, mother, singer and songwriter in Nashville.
Following her debut single “In The Name Of Jesus,” her current song is “Beauty In My Praise.”
Justin Gambino grew up going to church in Texas but rebelled in high school and was arrested for theft. The judge “sentenced” him to 8 years in the Navy, where he started leading worship. Afterwards he struggled with PTSD and depression, and at his low point he reached out to God. Now every year he holds a concert on the steps of the courthouse where he was sentenced as a teen!
His current song is a kind of testimony: “Fighting On My Behalf.”
Worship leaders Jordan Colle of Denver and Steve Davis of Detroit met at a Maverick City songwriting workshop in Atlanta in 2020 hosted by Maverick City Music. A few months later, they teamed up to form a band. Their name is basically “Sons” but they added “the Band” to distinguish themselves from a secular band called The Sons.
Their current song is “Goodness Gracious.” It is turn of the familiar phrase that literally praises God for His goodness and his grace. “Oh goodness gracious, I can’t believe it! You stole my heart when You said It’s finished.”
Vineyard, Urbana Illinois
Twenty years ago, Casey Corum was leading worship at a Vineyard church in Los Angeles. He wrote the song “Dwell” which is now a Vineyard classic. This year, the Vineyard church in Urbana, Illinois, made a new recording featuring worship leader Kyle Howard.
Whether you remember the original or are hearing it for the first time, we hope it blesses you! And if you want to hear the original, here is Casey Corum’s Dwell from 2011.
