How I love all this New Year’s snow! It may have all happened around a couple dark days on the Western Slope, but what is left behind when the sun started to shine, is bright, in your face, and unmistakable! It is everywhere right now! In 2022, we continue to pray that God’s revival will fall in our dark days…that it will shine bright, that He will be reflected, and that it will be unmistakable.
With Christ the only real solution to the darkness in our culture, He IS the Light. It is no surprise to our listeners that the world is rapidly increasing in evil AND also unhappiness. But there is the greatest Joy in the Lord (sounds like good call letters to me). Would you continue to pray with us…that “those living in darkness, will see a great Light” in 2022?
Looking back at 2021, the message of KJOL was revival and repentance. Recently, my wife asked me if I had to choose one word, what would I want to listeners hear in 2022. I said “hope.” The lost need hope yes, but so do God’s people. We have all been hurting, and a good dose of God’s goodness, His comfort, His peace, His strength, His love, and His power is most definitely in order.
As we set our eyes ahead, we pray that you will hear the hope that comes from the voice of Christ through KJOL. To kick things off, we just launched our brand new professionally-done station jingles on the air. We really hope you like them! It is something that almost all radio stations have, but we have not been able to afford them since the "old days" of KJOL. But God provided in his time, and we are excited about the new bright sound for the same KJOL you know and love. They are literally a year in the making, two years in the planning, and about 18 years in the wanting.
By the way…that same KJOL…is about to turn 40! This year is our 40th Anniversary since founder Howard Owen, Pastor Jack Olsen, Jim Tillford, and a few others signed the Joy Of the Lord on for the first time April 24th, 1982. What a blessing it has been for so long.
Here’s to another 40,
