Good News Verse of the Day

On April 18, heaven’s gain was our loss when Mandisa died unexpectedly at her home in Nashville. She was 47. The cause of death has not yet been determined, but at her funeral, Mandisa’s father, John Hundley, shared his thoughts : “Here's what I think happened. Mandisa fell down in her bedroom. They found her on the floor. If you look from the rear of her bed, she was laying on the left side. It’s clear that's where she was laying, there was a couple of big rugs there and some clothes. “On the right side of the bed, front, was this nightstand. I found her phone on the right side of the bed. There was no way for Mandisa to get around the bed, go out there and get a phone to call for help. “She did not harm herself,” he asserted. “As she said, Mandisa loved the Lord and the Lord loved Mandisa ." Mandisa’s music career began in 2006 when she was a finalist on American Idol. In 2007 she released her first album True Beauty which debuted at No. 1 on the Christian charts. Some of her well-known songs include “God Speaking,” “Voice of a Savior,” “Freedom Song” and “Out of the Dark”. In 2020 she released “Way Maker”, a powerful version of the COVID era hit. And the same year, she released her final hit, “ You Keep Hope Alive ”, a duet with Jon Reddick. From the beginning to end, Your word never fails You keep hope alive, Because You are alive Jesus You are alive Death had a stronghold, But Your life was stronger When evil is rising, You’re rising higher With power to save, With power to save You keep hope alive, You keep hope alive
